Father: Marty Henry, Switzerland
Mother: Alice Ware, MO
Informant: Ben F. Marty, NV
Cause of death: Acute nephritis.
Grave: near Stanley Row III
Cemetery Rumblings story:
Sarah Geneva Duffin, fondly known as Neva, who died on May 25, 1909, at the age of 29 years, 2 months and 8 days from kidney failure. Her ghost is said to tap passersby on their shoulder as they walk by her grave, which is located in the Outer Circle of the Moke Section of the cemetery. Is Neva merely popping in to say hello? Is she trying to get someone’s attention since she hasn’t yet passed over to the other side and has some unfinished business? Or did she die so quickly that she is unaware of being dead? Whatever her reason, the legend of Neva’s ghost continues to captivate everyone who hears of her hauntings.
