"Nellie Thomas was born on 1 January 1897 in Texas to Ira G Thomas and his wife, Mattie Jane Bice. She married Andrew Nowak, 25 November 1924. They had two children, Shirley Nellene and Calvin Andrew Nowak, Sr. Nellie was widowed when her husband died in 1951. Nellie Thomas Nowak died, December of 1968, aged 71, and was buried with her husband at New Bethlehem Cemetery in Cut and Shoot, Texas."
