The Thomas family was living in Angelina County, Texas, according to the 1900 US Census. Mattie Bice Thomas died, 2 April 1946, aged 75, in Montgomery County, Texas, and was buried at New Bethlehem Cemetery in Cut and Shoot, Texas."
