DEATH TAKES MRS. HAAS, 61, CLERIC'S AUNT
"SIX CHILDREN AND HUSBAND SURVIVE; ILL FOR MONTH....."
"Mrs. Mary Estelle Hass, 61, an aunt of the Rev. Dr. Francis Haas, former professor at St. Francis seminary, and now associated with the National Catholic Welfare council in Washington, died Monday, at her home, 1234 S. Fifth street. Mrs. Haas had been ill a month.
Born in Oak Creek, Wis., she came to Milwaukee about 35 years ago. Mrs. Haas was a member of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Anne's Sodality and the Happy Death society. Surviving are her husband, Frank D. Haas, three daughters and three sons. They are: Edna, Helen, Mrs. Myron Gross, Francis, Harry and Thomas, all of Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held at 9am, Thursday in St. Matthew's church. Interment will be made in Holy Cross cemetery."
Another Obituary states: " Also surviving are a sister, Nellie Scanlan and a brother, Emmet Scanlan."
