Hazel V. Bybee, 91, of 3690-A Sudbury Court, died at 11:25 p.m. Friday in St. Anthony’s Health Care. She had been a patient there two weeks, and in ill health two months. Born in Summer Shade, Kentucky, April 2, 1896, she had lived in Clark/s Hill 58 years, and in Colfax 10 years. She had been employed at Alcoa in Lafayette during World War 11, and at various restaurants in Lafayette and Clark’s Hill. She also was employed for a time at Von Tobel’s Lumber Company in Lafayette. Her marriage was April 28, 1915, in Good Luck, Kentucky to Walter L. Bybee, a railroader on the Nickel Plate Railroad. He died Oct 8, 1954. Mrs. Bybee was a member of Clark’s Hill Christian Church; Royal Neighbors of America; Senior Citizens of Clark’s Hill and Colfax; and Ladies Aid Society of Carks Hill. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Hobbs and Mrs. Robert (Mabel) Jarka, both of Lafayette, and Mrs. Adrian(French) Stevens of California.
