Agnes Marie (Armbrust) Parins, 94, passed on Friday, October 28 2016 surrounded by her family after experiencing a sudden stroke. At the moment of her passing, a tear ran down her cheek. It was a tear of joy to comfort her family. She graced many with her gentle touch and compassion.

Agnes was born on October 11, 1922 to Martin and Frances (Seiler) Armbrust and raised on a large family farm in Menominee, Michigan. As World War II broke out, Agnes joined the war effort with a true heart of service. Employed by Boreal Glove Factory, she made gloves for our men at war.

After the war concluded, Agnes was swept off her feet by Army war veteran, Donald Parins. As the story goes, they met at a costume party at the Casino Royale, where Agnes was dressed as a kitty cat. Donald pulled her tail asking for a dance, which was the start of their love story. In 1947, they married in Menominee, MI and moved to Green Bay to begin their careers and family. Together they fulfilled their American dream by owning a business, raising a family, enjoying family travel and hosting many family gatherings at their cottage on White Potato Lake.

Widowed in 1988, Agnes found strength to thrive as a well-respected member of the local community. She was well known for her heartfelt service to the church and many local organizations. Agnes' passion and commitment was to St. Jude's Church Outreach & Axillary, Third Order of St. Francis, St. Mary's Hospital Ladies Guild and Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross. Agnes was also an adventurous traveler, exploring many areas of the world including Australia, Canada, Ecuador and Europe with family and friends.

Agnes held her family dear with unconditional love. She is survived by four sons and one daughter, D. Richard and Linda (Pinkerton) Parins, Green Bay WI; David and Pam (Ganong) Parins, Forest Lake MN; Randall "RJ" and Kathy (Meyer) Parins, White Potato Lake WI; COL (Ret) Charles and Peggy (Miller) Parins, Little Falls MN; Mary (Parins) and Daniel Reynebeau, Green Bay WI.
