She was one of a family of nine children. Two sisters, Mrs. John Austin and Mrs. John Woodmansee and two brothers, Jackson and Edward, preceeded her to her heavenly home.

She was converted at a camp meeting near Franklin, Illinois in 1847 and joined the M. E. Church at that place, later she moved her membership to the First M. E. Church in this city of which she was a member at the time of her death.

She has always, until the past few years, been an active worker in the church and was greatly missed when her health made it necessary for her to give it up. She was united in marriage to John Miller Hutchison of Waverly, Illinois, December 28, 1849. To this union were born seven children: Mrs. Jane Church, the eldest, departed this life April 6, 1896.

She is survived by the following children and their aged father: Mrs. R. J. Moulton of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. C. E. Peet and John O. Hutchison of St. Louis, Mo; Mrs. Julia Harris, Mrs. Leona Jasper and Mrs. Bruck Reinbach of this city. Besides her children, she has raised from infancy her grand-daughter, Ouida White.

Fourteen grand-children and eleven great grandchildren with her four brothers; Robert of Franklin, George and Jarrett of Jacksonville; Henry of West Phalia, Kansas, are left to mourn her death.

"A loved one from us is gone, A voice we loved is still, A place is vacant in our home; Which never can be filled."
