Joyce Smith died unexpectedly tuesday (December 17,1985 at the Glens Falls Hospital. she was 49.
Born jan. 16,1936, she was the daughter of Fred and Florence Corlew Whiting and sister of the late Raymond Whiting.
Mrs. Smith resided at the Henry Hudson Townhouses. Survivors include her husband Arthur Smith Sr. of Gles Falls; three daughters,Joyce Boshane of Gouverneur, Agnes Smith of Glens Falls and Peggy Billings of Hudson falls; four sons, Arthur Jr. of West
fort Ann, and Michael, Richard , and Jeff Smith, all of Glens Falls seven sisters, Doris Ballard and Della Palmer of West Glens Falls, Agnes Baker ,Mary Meyers, and Carol Whiting of Glens Falls, and Betty Cook and eleanor Ellis of Hudosn Falls; five borthers, Edward Whiting of lake sunnyside, and Richard, Donald,Albert, Whiting all of Glens Falls, and Fredrick Whiting Jr. of Hadley-Luzerne and 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. services will be conducted at 11a.m. Friday at the sullivan and Minahan Funeral Home,67 Parl st. The rev. Rodney Mosher, pastor of the West Mountain Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Glens Falls Cemetary. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
