John T. Dunkelberger, 57, Sunbury Chemical operator
SUNBURY - John T. Dunkelberger, 57, of 202 Fairmount Ave. died Tuesday afternoon, May 2, 1995, at Sunbury Community Hospital.
Born Sept. 12, 1937, in Irish Valley, he was a son of Blanche (Thomas) Dunkelberger, Paxinos RR1, and the late Oscar Dunkelberger. He was married to the former Ann L. Ruths in 1962.
Mr. Dunkelberger was employed as a chemical operator by Merck Chemical Co., Danville.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Shamokin, and a life member of East End Hose Company, Sunbury.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Eric J. of Beltsville, Md.; one daughter, Nicole L. of Sunbury; eight brothers, Oscar and Richard, both of Sunbury RR3, George, Isaac, Nelson, David and Ralph, all of Paxinos RR1, and Daniel of Trevorton; and seven sisters, June Zerbe and Nancy Machesic, both of Sunbury, Kay Herman and Linda Klock, both of Sunbury RR1, Verna Band of Indiana, Susan Berge of Selinsgrove and Edna Zerbe of Paxinos RR1.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Forrest.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, by the Rev. F. Arthur Wetzel. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
