She married Marcellus Leiker on Feb. 12, 1938.
She was a homemaker and lived in Hays since 1958. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Altar Society Christian Mothers, Daughters of Isabella, Hays Medical Center Auxiliary and Hays Good Samaritan Center Auxiliary, all of Hays. She was a founding member of the Hays ARC and a volunteer at the Hays ARC Thrift Shop for 22 years.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; four sons, Kenneth, Norton, Duane, Denver, Allen F., Hays, and Dean, Tulsa, Okla.; two daughters, Juanita Leiker, Hays, and Judy Hashenberger, Hays; three sisters, Vicki Harris, Houston, and Patsy Pfannenstiel and Lil Basgall, both of Hays; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Linus, Celestine and Alvin Roth, and five sisters, Minnie Wellbrock, Tina Rohleder, Sally Wellbrock, Teckla Jacobs and Viola Stecklein.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, with Father Frank X. Grinko officiating; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. A Hays Medical Center Auxiliary rosary will be at 3:30 p.m., an Altar Society Christian Mothers rosary at 4 p.m., a Hays Daughters of Isabella rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., all Sunday at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to ARC, Hays Good Samaritan Center or to Masses.
