Albert Otto Walter Drewes was born on July 1, 1903, the son of Christian and Hewig (Kuhn) Drewes in Toad Lake Township. There he was raised and attended school. He worked with his parents on the family farm and was united in marriage on May 19, 1927 to Elsie Glander. Shortly after, they moved to Evergreen Township, where they farmed. He retired in 1992 and in Apirl of 1995, he entered the Perham Memorial Home.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie, Perham, MN, four sons, Delbert (Delores), Dennis (Judy), both of Frazee, MN, Aldon of Devils Lake, ND, and Kenneth (Linda) of Albany, MIssouri, Five Daughters: Madeline (Elmer) Yliniemi of Osage, MN, Marion (Marvin) Feldt of Frazee, MN, Vivian Anderson of Fargo, ND, Esther (Raymond) Ylitalo of Wolf Lake, MN and Karen Steichen of Waubun, MN. 42 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sons, Alfred, Clarence and James, a sister, Lela Panter and three brothers: Frederick, Lewis and Walter.
