Former Lake Park resident Vivian Roen Anderson, 73, of Fargo, died Monday, August 13, 2007, at Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo.
Vivian Bernice Drewes was born to Albert and Elsie (Glander) Drewes on Nov. 15, 1933, in Frazee, where she grew up and attended school. Vivian married Theron Roen on Dec. 2, 1955, in Sisseton, S.D. She was a homemaker, and also worked in various places over the years, including the lefse factories in Hawley and Lake Park, Big Top Bingo and Dakota Boys Ranch in Fargo.

Theron died on Nov. 7, 1978. Vivian married Carl Anderson on July 12, 1982. She was a lifetime resident of Lake Park. Vivian was an artist in Biblical drawing and an accomplished seamstress.
Surviving Vivian are her two daughters, Diane (James) Ericksen of Wasilla, Alaska, and Debbra (Stewart) Aakre of Hawley; one son, Douglas (Tiffany) Roen of Deadwood, S.D.; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Madeline (Elmer "Jake") Yliniemi of Park Rapids and Karen Steichen of Lake City, Fla.; four brothers, Delbert (Delores) Drewes and Dennis (Judy) Drewes, both of Frazee, Aldon (Donna) Drewes of Detroit Lakes and Kenneth (Linda) Drewes of Omaha, Neb.
Preceding Vivian in death were her parents; her husband, Theron; three brothers, Alfred Drewes, infant brother James Drewes, and Clarence Drewes; as well as two sisters, Esther Ylitalo and Marion Feldt.
Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service, at Wright Funeral Home, Lake Park.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park, with interment to follow at Lake Park Lutheran Church Cemetery.
