June Dunkelberger Zerbe, 83, of 35 Julia Street, Sunbury went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 2, 2016. June passed away peacefully with her loving children by her side at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville while listening to her daughter sing her favorite hymn, Amazing Grace.

She was born July 16, 1932, in Irish Valley, a daughter of the late Oscar and Blanche (Thomas) Dunkelberger. On August 5, 1951, she married Harvey Theodore Zerbe at the Irish Valley United Methodist Church, who preceded her in death on March 14, 1994.

June attended Trevorton schools.

June retired from Wilson Manufacturing after more than 40 years of service. After retirement, volunteering in the elementary schools gave her much pleasure. She also looked forward to working at the Election Polls for many years. Going back "out to the farm" to visit with whomever might happen to be sitting around the table was one of her most favorite activities.

June was a woman of strong faith, a long time member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church in Sunbury and a member of the Ethel Blank Sunday school class.

June enjoyed traveling and had great times visiting all parts of the United States with her sisters and children. Her most recent trip was a visit to Alaska to see her oldest grandchild Tonya, along with her daughter and son-in-law Mary and Jim. June always enjoyed supporting her children and grandchildren's sporting, school and musical activities. She could be found playing basketball with her grandchildren at Ft. Augusta Elementary School and never failed to take a daily walk, often with her youngest grandchildren, Tim and Georgina.

June is survived by four children, Susan Hetrick (Mac), Harvey Zerbe (Cynthia), Nancy Meister (Mark), Timothy Zerbe (Erica); eight grandchildren, Tonya Mena (Tony), Andrea Lucas (Chris), Uriah Robins (Melinda), Jeremy Zerbe (Holly), Adam Hetrick (Carissa), Ashley Hardic (Jared), Georgina and Timothy Zerbe; ten great-grandchildren.

June was the third oldest child of 17 and is survived by the following brothers, Richard, George, Isaac, Nelson, Daniel, David and Ralph Dunkelberger; and sisters, Nancy Machesic, Kay Herman, Verna Band, Linda Klock, Susan Berge and Edna Zerbe.
In addition to June's husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Robins; grandchildren, Zoe Zerbe and Mark E. Meister; and the following siblings, Kenneth, John and Forrest Dunkelberger.

June was a very giving person and loved unconditionally. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 1001 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11.

Flowers are welcome or make donations to the National Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org), or to a charity of your choice will be appreciated.

Family condolences may be sent in care of Harvey Zerbe, 9916 Sugar Grove Road, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
