Survivors Include his wife, the former Caroline Martin, who he married on April 30, 1949. Survivors, In addition to his wife, include two sons, Thomas (Carolyn) Batz and Martin (Susan) Batz, both of Waunakee; his mother, Beatrice Batz of Sun Prairie; and, two sisters, Bernadine (Bud) Phillipsen of Seaside, California; Joan (John) Kroetz of Sun Prairie; a brother, Willis (Bev) Batz of Roseville, California; five grandchildren, Danny, Tricia, Kenny, Greg and Randy. He was preceded In death by his father, Rupert, and a sister, Esther Hughey. Funeral services will be held at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 North Sherman Avenue, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 1991, with the Father Phillip Keyes officiating. Burial will be In St. Joseph's Cemetery at Baraboo at 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 1991.
